64-65 FI Solenoid Switch

There is a microswitch on the throttle which controls the enrichment solenoid under the FI unit. It is energized by the starter circuit and is branched off where the neutral safety switch would take off on an automatic car.

I'm about 100% confident this is a Cherry switch and wonder if anyone knows what the right Cherry number is. I could just pick one off a catalog page but it is the color that is tough.

HI Larry, Cherry electric E34. But here lies the problem. Not all E34's are created equal.
Original switch is NC which is normally closed. A lot of the E34's in catalogs and at the fleas are NO-normally open.
Burgundy switches are the real deal. Service replacements are Black. The black switches are worth about $50.00. Burgundy ones are very difficult to find.
I like your description and info on the switch.
There is a possibility that if you have a NOSR black switch it could be used for parts to rebuild an old wore out burgundy one.
Real Cherry electric switches for 64-65 have two rivets holding them today. Some of the E-34's I have seen only have one rivet.

If you find one in the catalogs most likely it is incorrect but may be able to be modified. The ones I have seen in the catalogs are not even close. Would appreciate you letting us know if you find one readily available though no matter what color. Thanks, JD
