54 body drop
Will the steering colume clear the mounted carbs when dropping the body or should the carbs be removed, We'll be using a car lift to set it. Looks like a really tight fit to clear them. Thanks for the input as always. Guy

Aww no! It won't clear. Take them off and its still really tight! -

yep - it wont fit.....carbs have to come off....

I am another year out to get to this point but this is still helpful .... Do we remove just the carbs or should the intake/exhaust manifold assembly be removed as well?

IMHO it is easier to pull the whole manifold with the carbs attached. Either way will work.Comment

Be careful when reinstalling the intake manifold. The manifold "ears" are fragile.Comment
