Reproduction 1115287 Coil

I have heard that the GM Restoration Parts 1115287 Coil is a bit larger in diameter than an original causing it to over-expand the coil bracket so that the screw does reach across the front to make contact with the nut. Does anyone have one of these coils? If so, does it fit in the bracket properly?

I know I will take a hit for the stainless contacts.

Unless they have made a change they are larger then originals. A fellow member purchased a GM restoration coil for a 1971 LT-1 a 272 coil. I do not remember how much larger it was (he did measure the difference) compared to an original but the bracket clamping screw just barely was able to clamp it in place.
