1960 rear bow weatherstrip for convertable top

Help I need help attaching this weatherstrip, any tricks or secrets? I know the catch for the latches and screws on the ends but do you glue it on also. Any help, please. Thanks in advance

My secret is plenty of staples and just enough 3M w/s adhesive and strategic cuts on the ends to remove some of the bulk where the w/s crosses over the stainless trim piece. If you don't trim away some of the bulk, the w/s will tend to raise up off of the rear bow due to the interference with the stainless trim piece.
