    Radiator Removal Oil Cooler Connections

I plan to remove a radiator to have it recored but its has oil cooler connections that I am not familar with. The manual states to remove and cap the connections and that's it. If someone could explain how this connection operates and what I can expect when I remove these lines that would be very hlepful. Sorry, this question does not relate to my Corvette but to my '61 Oldsmobile.

You will get a small amount of trans fluid from the rad and may need to use something to plug the lines from the trans. Essentially the trans fluid was pumped under pressure from the trans into the radiator where a small trans cooler was built into the coolant reservoir, then returned to the trans. Should only be a small amount of trans fluid in the rad, just enough to cause a mess if you are not prepared.

You've answered your own question. You will have your upper and lower hoses, of course, then on one side you should have two transmission oil lines.
