    I finally found the plugs with allen heads and completely flush with the block and behind the spark plug wire clip. I could not break them loose and started stripping one; so I stopped. The fluid that did come out earlier was still green with no sediment in it (after 8 years, but only 7,000 miles). Not the most ideal situation, but I will have 10 quarts of fresh 50/50 and 7 quarts of used.

      The original plugs were hex-head, and were usually difficult to remove without using a 6-point socket; a 12-point socket would just round them off.
