C1 (1960) dual quad mainfold question

We did the engine startup today after rebuild and had oil spitting out of a threaded hole in the intake mainfold. See the attache picture and blue arrow. Oil was spitting out so we screwed a bolt into the hole to stop the lead. I went back and looked at pictures of the dual quad setup when I bought the car and first took it off. I don't have a real clear picture, but from what I have, I can't see anything in the hole. The intake and carbs were restored by Bob Kunz.

Can someone tell me what the hole is for, and should there be a bolt or something screwed into the hole to prevent oil leak?

    Thanks,

    Don

Does anyone know what is supposed to be in the hole? A hex head bolt or I was thinking of putting a set screw in it. Not sure what the judges are looking for.

I can't get to my car right now, but it looks like the location where I have my coil bolted down.

          Don,

i believe there should be a Nyloc bolt there. Take a look at this thread.

Don- Mine is pictured below but no oil comes through it. According to the other thread, I should try to find that bolt before my car is judged again. I never lost points for not having the bolt but that might mean it was just missed.

James, would you take a look again. Your picture clearly shows the rear most hole with no bolt, but there is another hole (see the blue arrow that I added to your picture). The second hole is just behind and close to the rear carb stud.

                Thanks,

Here is another thread on Nylok with pictures; I'm not sure if it applies to '60's

These ebay pics show a hole in back at the hole closest to the carb. I have bolts in both of those holes on my '59 3739653 2x4 manifold. That manifold was used from 1957 to 1961. I'd imagine the holes were for the coil bracket used on passenger cars.
