    NCRS Judging Retreat

As I head home I would like to thank everyone involved in this outstanding event. An incredible experience for anyone, including a novice such as I. I also wish to thank those who sacrificed their cars for us to judge. Very brave people.

I was happy to "sacrifice" my 1960 for the event. It was the 2nd time for my car; I trust the organizers.

        Joe,
Your car is nice; it was a pleasure to judge it; in fact all the cars were excellent...thanks to all.

          Re: NCRS Judging Retreat

A lot of information was sent out to us by the staff that ran this retreat and I hope that I can retain at least some of it.

Great time and a wonderful experience in learning the judging standards that are the backbone of NCRS.

If it ever comes up again, I highly recommend that you attend. The span of experience that was present was unbelievable and years of judging were rolled into the two day seminar.

Thanks again to everyone that share their time and experience with us and as stated before, thanks to the brave members that let us poke around their beautiful Corvettes.

Here are some photos taken in the basement of the Hilton.

See if you can identify any of the suspicious looking characters in the photos.

I will send a second post to get some more photos.

Very nice! I do recognize a few of the usual suspects, including myself.

This was my second retreat and it was heads and shoulders above the first one. Many thanks to Roy, Gary Chesnut and the other organizers, instructors and volunteers for an outstanding event. The explanations of the judging process really larified how best to judge, and the hands on day really gave everyone a chance to practice

I too want to thank everyone involved in organizing this event. I enjoyed the format especially judging different cars. I got to judge cars I don't usually judge. So once again thanks everyone.

Having the Duntov cars there was really special too, thanks.

The retreat was full of great information, it also gave me an excuse for a 500 mile road trip in my '67 roadster. It was an absolute blast to drive to Arlington on Thursday with the top down.

That would have been fun, I had planned to drive my '67 the 650 miles, but there was a snow storm between me and Dallas on Thursday, and one on Sunday too that closed I-40, so very glad I flew.

Do the judging retreats rotate locations as well, or is it typically held in Arlington?
