    On car Master Cyl bleeding

Trying to bleed the brakes. Have all new master cyl, PB booster, lines, hoses, caliphers. I put master cyl on w/o bench bleeding it. I had my wife pump the brake pedal numerous times until all the little air bubbles quit coming up thru the little holes in the bottom of the mc. Can't get any fluid to come out of the bleeders on the mc or out of the lines when I loosened them on the mc. I tried a vaccuum pump on the mc bleeders as well as the RH rear calipher w/o any success. Any suggestions. I don't really want to buy a pressure pump to use on the mc if I can help it.

Al, If you plug the brake line ports you can "bench bleed' it on the car. I use old fittings with the lines pinched off.

Make sure your booster rod is not pushing on the master when the pedal is relaxed. If it is pushing the master cylinder, it will block fluid. You may try to loosen the master from the booster and see if fluid flows. You should be able to crack a line or bleeder screw at the master and get fluid to to come out without pushing the pedal if everything is okay.

Kurt, I'll give that a try in the morning. It sounds very much like that may be the cause since fluid will not flow out with the line loosened
