Hei distributor weights

Does anyone have a part source for the HEI distributor weight plastic pivot bushing. This is the small plastic bushing in the oem weights. Thanks Ed

It appears the weights were not offered for service via Chevrolet dealers, you might try an old AC-Delco repair shop if you can find one near you.

I believe these HEI distributor weights and springs were serviced by GM only as a complete assembly with the main shaft and weight plate. Why I have no idea.

In any event, the pivot pins complete with the plastic bushing are available from Delco. The part number is 89056657. They're also available from Standard Motor Products (which is very likely what you get in the Delco box if you buy Delco) under their number DG-50.

I ordered a D333a which superseds 89056657. Kit only mentions the post but we will see what we get. Thanks Ed

D-333A is the Delco "short number" for the 89056657 "long number". It's supposed to include the pin + the plastic bushing.

Recieved the D333a part today (89056657) the only thing in the box were pins only. However I found this number from borg warner DG-13 which I can get from oriellys auto. Thanks Ed

I think you might find that the DG-13 is the same as the D-333A. However, it's worth a try. It's strange because the D-333A descriptions shows "with plastic bushings".
