1960 door post weather strip clips

I'm on the final stretch of changing the interior on my '60. I'm installing the weatherstripping and the clip kit from Paragons has way more parts than I remember when I removed the old stripping fro the door post. I don't remember the wire clips being on there. The AIM doesn't really give a very detailed pic of it. Can anyone shed some light on this? Any advice is appreciated.

    Thanks!

Here's a picture of my 1960 passenger side door post. If you look closely you can see the wire clips, paper clip sort of things, that sort of help hold the flat metal clips in place.

There were some better details in the 58-60 Corvette Restoration Handbook.

Here is a photo of a repro and original that was snipped from Bob Baird's excellent Restoration Handbook which I recommend. The bottom clip has a different shape from the center clips. Doc Rebuild catalog shows each of the clips laid out from top to bottom.

Thanks Donald and Joe. The pics really help. I appreciate your time. Looks like the originals were dipped in sort of coating?

My originals were black and all other originals I have seen were black. I sprayed the repros with flat black paint.
