mid year hood hing questions

bought these two at a swap meet the guy who is painting them said something about these are not right with the pins and rivets. can you shed some light on this

Spring and staking on my '65 look like the picture in the right side with four lines. Never seen one like the other one...

My 67 hinges have no staking at all, and the rivet is flat on the opposite side, not doomed.

was there only one suppler though out the mid year run on the hinges? I bought these because they are tight. the originals (witch I can't locate at the moment) were very loose and wore out

If you look at the one in the left on your picture, the spring is already cracked and broken.

yes I was awarer of that. this means I am on the look for a pair or one good original
