    Re: 67 Ralley wheel ID

Wendel Hans wrote an excellent article in The Restorer a year or so ago. If your DG wheels are stamped 15x6 JK with the DG stamp they are legit. The are commonly found on original cars built in January and February 1967.

Search for Wendel's article as it details 1967 rally wheels well.

      Patrick,

DC code wheels w/o a date near the valve stem are original production wheels. Wheels with a date code at the valve stem with the DC stamp are later production wheels and usually are an over the counter service part.

Thanks Vinny. This helps validate what I remembered.

                Re: 67 Ralley wheel ID

My 67 was built September 23, 1966 and I have two DC wheels along with the B stamped wheels. I will see if I can find a date on the DC wheels later this week.

The B stamped wheels have a 8/66 date, I just can't remember finding a date on the DC's that came with the car but they have to be dated early, I can't imagine anyone changing these wheels.

                  Larry,
The Restorer articles that I found are in volume 28, 2002/2003. Wendel Hans had a four part article. For some reason I cannot find Part II.
As for "Stan" I must be mistaken/confused?
