hello all,
i just wanted to share my morning experience that made me stop and think about our passion and hobby. i had a friend call me saying his coworker swears there was a 67 split window. i will be honest and say my first thought was " what a dummy". but then i came back down to earth and realized that was me about 5 years ago when i first started looking at corvettes. it took me 2 more years after that to buy one. it just made me think we are all car people with a passion for cars. some of us are way more knowledgable than others and its our duty as enthusiests to spread the wealth of knowledge or this sport may die. i know i do not know everything and i am learning everyday. i truly appreciate the ones that take their time to educate me and continue to educate me. i have made some great friends in this sport that have taken me under their wing. if i had not had this education i could have wasted alot of time and money on the wrong cars. you know the ones, the ones you see on tv and fall in love with because they have matching #s and bigblock. i now walk past 9 out of 10 cars at the auction because i now know real from fake. and that is because of the friends i have here that are willing to share their knowledge and passion to keep these cars around. and for that i say THANK YOU.
take care,
matt
