    1968 Window Anti-Rattle Bumpers

Did the '68 Corvette come with Anti-Rattle Bumpers for the Windows, or did this begin in '69?

    Thanks,

    Bob DeSimone

I couldn't get them in my 68. Just gave up.

The anti rattle cushions were not used for 1968. Their use began for 1969 and continued through 1982. Can they be retrofitted to 1968? Apparently not.

And I thought my rattling window was the result of something I did wrong when I replaced it.

Why? Because there's the chance someone will buy them. Vendors have been selling 61-62 clutch fork boots for 25 years. 61-62 weren't built with them

                    Mike and Bob------

I think another thing that happens is that suppliers "lump together" all of a particular Corvette generation, in this case C3, for a part like this. They just assume that if it applies to 1969-82, it must include 68 too. However, it doesn't. For 1968 it's never safe to assume that components are the same as later C3.
