Claus -- here's another example, on my early '65; not sure if '64 air cars are same. Original holes in fender and rad support, including the 3 holes w/o screws for the T.I. amp (below horn relay, not installed).

The diagram from the assembly manual shows the voltage regulator are placed on the left inner fender but every picture i have seen of 1964 factory AC cars have the voltage regulator
and horn relay on the radiator support
I will check if i have the 3 holes on the left inner fender on my car

On the picture to the left is another 1964 factory AC with the voltage regulator and horn relay on the radiator support
So far all of the 1964 AC cars i have seen pictures of have the voltage regulator and horn relay on the radiator support and 1965 and newer have the voltage regulator on the inner fender

I hope the insulation inside the outer AC box will not come loose since i have glued on the insulation proper and have used a lot of sealant where the sheets of insulation meets
The new AC relays that are being sold all have metal plate finnish like the one i have(see the attached picture)
I am not sure if the AC relay is supposed to be metal plated or painted semi flat black?
Any here that knows?
