Anyone know what this part fits?

I bought this thinking it was a lighter element for a 55 Corvette but the group number shown on the packaging does not correlate in my 53-55 parts manual. It is a 12V CASCO.

it appears to be the same as the 9.709, #3710581 chevy element. it has a AMC part number. the same element has many different part numbers depending on what car manufacturer is packaging the part. if it was on a buick it could have part number 1318909, chrysler #1688326, etc....
