Hello, Can anyone offer me any information or recommendations on a 1966 427/425 Red Coupe, s/n# 194376s113709, that is being sold by Ted Fulmer at TJ's Special Interest Autos in Edmonds, Washington? My son has interest in purchasing the car and is close to an agreed price. I have tried to convince him to buy a new Stingray but hard heads seem to run in my family. If any member has any information or is willing to inspect this car, please let me know as I will gladly pay for your time. As always, thank you for any and all help, John

Re: 1966 Corvette purchase
John,
With an asking price of $85,500 that car needs to be fairly correct. That's a pretty big nut to swallow for an entry into the crazy world of collector Corvette. At that price I would want an expert to assist in the examination of the correctness of this Corvette. You need to put the location in the title. Good luck.- Top

Re: 1966 Corvette purchase
John, nice looking car from the pictures but that's the asking price. Red flags everywhere at that price. Maybe the seller is motivated but how do you know? If you contact your local NCRS chapter, they can steer your son to someone who can look at the car knowledgeably.

You're on the right track with asking for inspection assistance. I think this is the closest local chapter:
Northwest Chapter
Mike Doty - Chairman
5204 Walla Walla St
Yakima, WA 98903-1065
Phone: (509) 480-0790
E-mail: corvettemikenw@charter.net
Web: www.nwncrs.org
Hopefully someone in that chapter or someone looking at this thread is close and knowledgeable in this model and can help.
Good luck.- Top

Re: 1966 Corvette purchase
Hello and thank you all for your advice. I was contacted by a corvette collector in upstate Washington that is going to inspect the car for me. Thanks to Roy Sinor and the NCRS, I was able to obtain the dealer information. I am continuing the research and will keep all of you posted. Thanks again, John- Top
