    Side or threaded yokes?

If someonecould help me out with this one I would appreciate it. In restoring a 73 L48 with an automatic wereside yokes with U bolts or threaded yokes used from the factory? In getting the car ready for judging and want to make sure its correct.

    Thanks in advance,

    Joe

Joe, My 72 L48/auto has threaded yokes, I believe that the 4 spds had the u-bolts.

My brother was once the original owner of a 1973 with L-48 and 4 speed. His car had the cap-type ("threaded") yoke axles. I remember that very well.

Irrespective of what style yokes you have, if you believe that they are the originals, please don't change them for judging. There's been more than a few diffs found with the cap style where straps should have been found.
