    1962 Convertible top underside detail

I am going to be having a new top installed, replacing an incorrect one-wrong color, wrong material, etc. I've never had a convertible before, and have not looked at the inside of a correct top since I bought my car.

I'd like to get pics that show some detail on how the inside of a correctly installed top should look. Does anyone have some pics, or can you tell me a place to look for them- or does anyone have a '62 I could take pics of in the northwest New Jersey area (Blairstown).

    Thanks much,
    Charlie

I'm in Maryland and have an original top 62. I don't have any pictures, but could take some if you could explain what you are looking for. By the way, my other 62 had it's top installed by Al Knoch at Spring Carlisle. It was their first top installed at a show and took 9 hours.

Robert- Thanks for your offer. Maybe what I should do is take pics of mine to capture the areas that I will have questions on and send them to you, and you could take like ones of your car. I guess I am mainly concerned about the details of attaching the cover to the frame. I am not sure the place I am taking it has Corvette experience, i.e., getting the details right. So the more guidance I can give him, the better. I didn't feel like shelling out $90 for a CD from Knoch.

I guess it could take my guy a lot longer if he doesn't do Corvetes too often.

I'll switch to a PM when I come back to you.
      Thanks,
      Charlie
