On a 290 hp fuel injection engine is the generator bracket the two piece or just the u- shaped one? This for a 59 vette. Thanks Pat McPherson

It has a flat plate and the u-shaped bracket.

My 1963 Chev. Parts Catalog (Oct. 1962) lists the following generator brackets in Gr. 2.277 for a 59 Corvette w/F.I.:
58-59 Corvette (F.I. w/H.L. Cam)(1st design)......(7 1/8" O.L. X 1 5/8" high)(stamped 3750876)...........3750876
59-61 Corvette (F.I. w/H.L. Cam)(2nd design)......(7 1/8" O.L. X 1 5/8" high)....................................3768152
Noland Adam's 53-62 book has shop drawings of each bracket on page 291.
