If I remember correctly on my 57 I adjusted the door gaps using the adjustment in the hing bolts then loosened the door post bolts and moved the post around some.
The front bolt in the post can be shimmed to tilt the post if needed.
You can always open up some of the bolt holes to allow for minor adjustment.

I have just finished my 60, which the same design is used from 1956-1962, it you make all of the bolts attaching the door post to the door loose, you will see you can change the gap at the top. On a 59 I restored I had to be creative and elongate some holes.
I have always noted door and windshield gaps on C1's and most look bad. It does take a lot of time and patience to make them look good. It is best done BEFORE paint, if the car is already painted it is even more of a challenge
