    GE #257 Flashing Bulbs

I was looking through E-bay today for some parts for my 1967 car, and ran across someone selling both old stock GE and Westinghouse #257 flashing bulbs. Seller states he has 90 NOS GE and 100 NORS Westinghouse bulbs. Price under $8 each including shipping. Item Number 330856953943.

I know that these bulbs are always in demand by the C2 guys, and are often times hard to find when you need them.... or they are very $$$. A few years back I bought a package of ten bulbs so I would have enough for myself and my friends.

This is a FWIW........I do not know the seller. Just trying to help where I can.

    Larry

EDIT: Further checking this guys "E-bay Store" indicates that he also has #90 bulbs (earlier thread asked about these) and also MANY other sizes for our cars. All appear to be "old stock".

The GE and Westinghouse bulbs will flash correctly, the cheap imported crap you get from the vendors today is hit or miss

Nope. I bought two Westinghouse & two GE #257's. The only one that flashed correctly was one of the GE's. The others went into the trash and I ended up using one of my 47 year old originals.

The listing is history. Sold out.
Story: My 63, the LWC had bulbs made from the old country. SOmehow or other the car went thru ops. But right after I was sitting in the car and one of the bulbs went bananas and burnt out.
So Bill Clupper sent me some real deal 357's for which I am grateful. JD

I plugged in the ebay number and it came out Zero. One of you already bought the bulbs.

Can someone please educate me? :-) What do you mean by "flash correctly"? Too fast, too slow, burn out quickly? Just curious. I think I am using modern bulbs in my '68 without issue but I'm also not going through a PV anytime soon. Thanks.
