The rear valence panel on a 64 has about six (maybe 8) 1/4 inch screws across the top and then a bolt/nut set- up on each lower corner which attach it to a bonding strip on the quarter panel.
On mine, for the lower corners there is one hole in the valence on each side but two in the body/bonding strip. This leads me to "guess" 1.that the holes were originally drilled at assembly and 2. that I have a replacement valence which required a second hole on each side in a different location on the body. My valence has a label (really a partial label) which is practiacally molded into the fiberglass on the lower right side of the valence which says Rockwell International with a number like xx-xx. I don't remember exactly but it's something liek 38-75.
Can you shed any light on what I'm seeing.
