Heater controls on a 1963 corvette

There are two knobs that you pull out to operate the heat in a 63 vette. One is for Fan - Temp. The other is for Air - Defrost. As I was using the heater, I pulled them out. Now they only go back half way. Any ideas as to the problem and how I fix it? Thanks.

Sounds like they came loose at the heater box or they are filled with dirt and stuck. Remove the glove box and see if they came loose.

You may need to remove them from the car for a good cleaning and lube.
