    59 290 hp fuelie engine

Does anyone know of a good photo showing the 290 engine with all its painting , shielding, brackets etc. I have looked at a 250 hp and the shielding has all the curved covers on either side of the block along with the covers and heat shields under the exhaust manifolds. Is the flywheel cover painted black? Help Thanks Pat McPherson

The curved spark plug wire shields were only used on 56-57 Corvettes.
They are also called bananna or "U" shields.
The lower flywheel/clutch cover is painted engine color (red or orange??), they came from GM painted black.
