    My thoughts also, I don't have a clue, it is obvious that mine are missing with no signs or marks on the trim panel as to thier very existance.

      I've looked at the section in the LIC catalog, and also the '65 AIM UPC 1, sheet F13, and I can't see where these are part of typical factory installation (at least for that production year).

        Wayne, Thanks for the response, I have an AIM for my 66 and can't see it either, no signs/marks etc on the original panels so with what you and I see I might think it is some after market fix for rattles or squeaks. I will leave them the way they are! Thanks for the effort!

          Tony;
          I don't recall these bumpers, but is it possible they are installed on the forward edge going into the inner edge of the door jam to stop the panel from rattling.

            Ray is onto it........

            Those are anti-rattle bumpers that go on the edge of the quarter trims. I found a few on a 67 convertible I restored. One side needed them, the other side did not. They were fitted on the edge of the trim that then fits into the mating hollow edge of the rear door pillar jamb. If the edge of the trim rattles when installed, it helps keep it quiet. On the side that didn't have them, the trim fit in the door pillar groove tightly so no room for the rubber piece.

            I have never seen them shown as a required part in the AIM. I suspect they added them on the line only if needed, or maybe at the dealers due to customer complaints. Maybe a TSB. 1967 AIM UPC 1 ASM F14 shows no reference to the part.
