Where is the drain plug located on a 67 300HP small block radiator, and how do you get to it?

Re: 67 Small Block radiator drain plug location
Assuming the car has an original GM #3155316 aluminum radiator or a DeWitts reproduction thereof, the drain petcock is located on the left (driver) side BOTTOM surface of the radiator (i.e. it points downward). It is close to the very left side of the radiator. If the car has some other sort of replacement radiator, I would expect it would be in the same general location but with a replacement, anything is possible. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

I don't recall that the fan shroud obscured it but my recollection on this is not too good. Hopefully, someone else with a 67 ought to be able to take a quick look and advise. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Nope. It's not blocked by the fan shroud - looks like the photo below.

Re: 67 Small Block radiator drain plug location
'66 small-block radiators used a St. Louis-installed plug; the plug was cancelled from the A.I.M. for '67, and I believe the aluminum petcock was included as part of the '67 radiator from Harrison. The current '67 JG calls for the aluminum petcock. The #3155316 radiator drawing should show that, but I don't have the drawing.- Top
