    The Last 1982 Corvette

Does anyone know what ever happend to the last C3 Corvette after it left Bowling Green? I imagine there was some type of fanfare when it came off the line. I've been looking for information on it, but haven't come up with anything so far. Based on my research GM doesn't have it. I'm interested in finding out colors, options etc.

I've located the last C1, C2, C4, and C5. The last C6 will be a 60th ann 427 vert and retained by GM so i'm curious what ever happend to the last C3.

Steve, Have you done a search in the archives? I seem to remember a post about it a while ago.

Steve, some day we'll hear of it re-appearing. some collector has it stored.

I would bet the NCM may know, or may have even had it on display before, they seem to have lots of early BG cars around.

              Re: The Last 1982 Corvette

Sorry to resurrect this six year old thread. I too have wondered about the last C3. There was an article published on this subject here:

Image Courtesy of CorvetteImages.com I was talking to a friend the other day about the impending end of the C6 Corvette. We theorized where that last 2013 Corvette would turn up. What auction it may show up at, whose collection it could end up in, and what it options it would have. Coincidentally a new […]

On another website a person claims they found the last C3:

82 corvette experts discussion on the TexAgs Automotive forum.

There is a picture of a black C3 (1980 to 1982) but there is not a side picture to see if the "cross fire injection" badge is there (although it could have been removed or fallen off anyway). There is also a picture of the VIN but it is missing the first 9 digits of the VIN, including the check digit. Another forum had a thread on this here:

C3 General - Here's the last C3 - Looks like this guy has found the last C3 and the owner doesn't know what he has. What would it be worth? https://texags.com/forums/46/topics/2826188/1

I replied to that forum and questioned whether this was sufficient proof that the depicted Corvette was, indeed, the last C3.

I decided to order a copy of the build sheet and window sticker from the National Corvette Museum just to see what options and colors it had. Since we can calculate the check digit and the first 8 digits are known, I was able to determine the full VIN. When I receive the build sheet and window stick, I'll post some pictures.

Does anyone have any additional information on the last C3? Maybe there is another thread on this on this technical discussion board but my search only located this thread.

I'm afraid that I've nothing to add info-wise.
However, as an 82 owner (82 CE, January car) I look forward to what surfaces on this discussion thread!

Well, if I did it right, attached are the window sticker and the build sheet for the last C3 Corvette, painted black with interior slate (gray). Interesting change in the dealer (same city name but different state). Its options were not very remarkable. It did have an FE7 suspension.

The last C7 will be auctioned off at a Barrett-Jackson/Chevrolet auction at the Mohegan Sun Resort/Casino in Connecticut on June 28, 2019.

I should have guessed that. It will be interesting to see what it brings.
