Seat back retaining screw(s)

Looking thru the new 68 judging manual it says the seat backs are secured at the bottom by 2 chrome phillips screws, my early 68 serial # 3907 has only one screw holding the lower inner corner and the other side is held in place by the lower seat back latch bezel.Is this correct?

Hi Bob,

My December '67 built 1968 also has the single screw on the seat backs. One of the seat backs was damaged and I could not find a replacement with the single screw so I had to replace it with the two screw back. I kept the damaged one in hopes of one day finding a suitable way to repair it. I am not sure that '68's had the single screw for the entire run as we know there were many "in production" changes to the '68 such as interior door handles and headlight vacuum actuators to name two.
