My friend died 5 years ago and his original 65 FI car has been sitting in storage for the last 5 years. His wife has decided to sell the car and needs help getting it running to show for sale. It was running fine when he stored it but I suspect it will need to have gaskets and seals replaced. She is looking for someone who has rebuild experience, and is happy to pay for services to get the car going. Any recommendations from any of you located around the Salt Lake City area? Jerry

Re: Help with 65 FI car startup in Salt lake City area
it will almost certainly need a gas tank, fuel gauge sending unit, gas lines flushed, fuel pump rebuilt and then she will have to deal with having the FI unit disassembled and rebuilt.over the last 4 months, i've gotten four of our old c-2 vettes out of storage and got them back on the road. each one took a couple weeks to get fixed and i wish i'd have photographed the fuel tanks . they were lined with about 3-4 inches of what looked like coffee grounds. call cory peterson and see iff he can help the widow. she might be bettter off selling the 65 FI vet as is. mike- Top
