'65 Heater Hose Routing Photo Needed

My '65 heater hoses installed by the PO appear to short and look like spaghetti. They are also touching the exhaust manifold. Does someone have a good picture of the heater hose routing, preferably with the alternator removed, so I can route them correctly?

    Larry,

You may get a response if you post your HP and with or without AC - hose routing varied for various HP and w/without AC configurations.
Need to know what you are working on - or obtain an assembly manual for '65 models

Well start by taking a look at your AIM - try Section 1 Assembly sheet B6.00 (that's in the 64AIM however should be around that spot) Just made the same installation on mine & forgot how it went until found in AIM - took looking a few times.
That is the basic setup so if you have options, AC, it will be different so look at options too

Have a look here- I have colored the heather hoses red. This is for a no AC car

Also, take a good look at view B in the picture Claus posted. The lower hose from the heater core routes behind and over the other hose, this gets the lower hose away from the hot exhaust manifold back at the heater core. The tee is turned at a 45* angle to route the other hose down as it moves forward. When the hoses are routed through the heater hose bracket by the alternator they are essentially flipped from the way they started at the heater core.

Larry, one other note to this post, My frenids 63 had a same issue on the hose to close to the manifold, he situation was the hose coming off the recovery bottle was about a 1 inch or so to long, which will help get it away from the heat.
