2014 Corvette preview in NYC
Got the chance to go the Corvette preview in NYC last night and had an awesome time. The event was scheduled 60 years to the day of the Motorama debut at the Waldorf-Astoria. The event was open to big dealers and special influential guests and then there was me. The car from the Waldorf in 53 was there as well.Got to see the car up close and sit in it and I believe it has to be seen in person to get a feel for the styling which everyone at the event loved.Spoke very briefly with Tadge Juechter the Corvette Chief Engineer and got a pic with him. One knucklehead asked Tadge if the new car is based on the Camaro chassis and he replied "I take that as a personal insult"...only half joking. He did say a convertible may be coming but wouldn't answer my question on whether there's a Z06 or ZR1 coming..The smile says it all for me..
