Pressure test new evaporators, heather cores and parts like that?

    1963-65 evaporator core.jpegAC heather core.jpg
I have just got some parts for my factory AC coupe. The parts are bought at a parts supplier with a good reputation
I have heard so much about leaking new parts(mostly heather cores)so i phoned the shop where i bought the evaporator and AC heater core and asked
if i should solder the pipes on the new Mexican heather core and the person i spoke to agreed with me in doing that

I asked about the US made evaporator as well but i did not get any clear answer on that

So i ask here instead if i should pressure test the evaporator before installing it?
Having said that i am quit eager to finish the outer AC box so it is back to one unit again and ready to go back on the car now that every part have been restored

Take them to a good radiator shop and have them checked.

Claus, on the heater core, test it only to 20 pounds of pressure (US Term). I believe the maximum it will see installed is 15 pounds.

On the AC components, have an AC shop pressure check them.

Just to make sure so the shop that will pressure test the evaporator knows how much pressure should they use when testing?

The shop i will have to pressure test the evaporator usually repair and installs ac units for houses, schools and so on. Not to many cars
But they are close to me
