    67 side exhaust s/b

I have a 67 conv. 327-300 with factory side exhaust. I think its time for new pipes. Do I have to remove the covers to install pipes? I will buy new pipes only, should I buy stainless steel or aluminized? The car is a nice driver not a show car. Also should I use sleevs between maniford and pipe? I was thinking about buying pipes from Corvettecentral here in Michigan. Thanks George

    George,

I got a set from Sweet-Thunder (MC Productions, Inc.) 231-775-0258 and was very happy with them. Driveline advertiser. They came with the sleeves installed. I would use stainless on a driver if it was my car. I would think you could replace with the covers in place.
