Position of Alternator belt to bottom radiator hose, 1963, 327 ci, 250 hp

The alternator belt on my 1963, 327 ci, 250 horse, looks like it is to close to the bottom radiator hose. Is it suppose to be so close. If not, what is the solution? Thanks.

    Raymond -

That tends to be a common issue if the lower radiator hose is installed backwards - it's easy to install that way, but it moves the hose curvature to create the condition you mentioned.
