70 Headlight Bezels

Can anyone help me with the correct way to remove the headlight bezel. I have tried it with the H/L in the up position only to find out that the washer nozzle does not clear. I would like to remove it all the way to change a H/L bulb. Thanks Jeff

Jeff,
Is the bottom of the bezel flush with the body when fully up? If it is, the nozzles should clear. If it is low, you can adjust the opening height. I use shirt cardboard tucked in to protect the paint. If all eles fails, do as Wolf suggests and remove the nozzles.

I will check the opening height,thin cardboard is also a good idea. Thanks! If that dont work Iwill try to remove the nozzle Jeff

The bezels can be removed without the need to remove the nozzles. I've done it many times with very little difficulty on my 1969 which has exactly the same nozzles as 1970.

And I removed the bezels from my 1970 several times without removing the nozzles -- like Joe. I have the chips to show it because it took me a while to learn to mask (masking tape works too) the lower edge of the opening.
