Thers is a reproduction heater delete plate on Ebay item # 190781465676. The seller states the 56/57 was notched at the Factory and shows pictures. Has anyone had a original one that was notched .

Attached are a few pictures of a heater delete plate that I sold for a while, until my supplier stopped making them.
The configuration is correct as I made a print from a original part and provided it to my supplier.
After they were all gone (except this one) I had them cut on a water jet cutter, bent the corner and they were nice except they did not have the depression in the center, but they were still functional for blocking the heater hole in the firewall. I do not sell them anymore.
My configuration is how GM supplied them, with the cutouts , holes , etc. The ones for the Sebring and other race Corvettes had numerous variations.
The one for sale for $299 looks OK but I have no way to tell if it is original.
The one for $70 also looks OK and will do the job. I this part is judged by NCRS and in the Judging Guide. Note that the attaching screws are inserted from inside the car.
As far as the "original" part number 3740250, it is not listed in any of my GM parts books although it is in the Assembly Manual- Top
