69 convertible top tension spring

This is the frame that I repainted for my 69 vette, but i am wondering if it is from a 68 because of the tension springs.
Does someone have a picture of a 69 conv. top frame showing the tension springs that could be posted

I agree with you. From an inspection of my 68, I think you are dealing with a 68 tension spring and frame.

How do you think a '68 convertible top and tension spring would be different from a '69?

This 69 vette was built April 2nd 69, from NCRS delivery data, it was delivered to Washington DC, this car was drilled for a hardtop, 427/390 air car with matching numbers. This is all i know.

Terry Buchanan:

On my 68 (and others that I have inspected), the attachment point for the spring end of the tension cable is rearward of that for later cars, making the cable/spring assembly shorter on 68's.

The various parts vendors offer 68 and 69-75 cable kits.

OK, Paul. The 1968-69 Exterior folks will have to look at some other 1969s to see where this fits in the larger picture. Thanks for your help.
