C2 W/AC heater hose clamp at W.P.

I've researched the archives on the correct style of clamp for a 327-300 with A.C. that connects the heater hose to the water pump nipple. Was a certain mfr or style of "gas station variety" side screw or "worm adjustable" clamp used or is any type acceptable for judging? TIA Al

When I re-did my 64 327/300 AC car quite a few years ago, I used the Corbin style spring ring clamps on all of the heater hose connections except the tee connection near the tank. I believe that is what the judging manual calls for.

Glen, the 67 AIM calls for a side screw clamp at this location and previous discussions on this site also agree with this. I discarded what could have been the original on my 1 owner because I thought it was a general worm screw clamp that was installed when the hoses were replaced years back-- at the time I didn't know any better. I'm not sure what the 64 JG calls for as I've never redone 1 of them.

A/C cars use a side-screw clamp, very similar to the clamps used on the hose from the expansion tank outlet to the "tee" at the heater hose, where the 3/4" heater return hose attaches to the water pump inlet fitting. See Section C60, sheet D3, item #4. Also shown on sheet D4 for big-blocks with A/C.

I didn't see the little blue 67 before the C2, & thought we were talking about a 1964 327/300 ac car. I misread the original post. Sorry guys!

John, I just located 1 at LICS, but unsure how accurate it is to orig. Anyone out there bought 1 and had it judged?
