Early 63 Roadster Plastic Lid Wedge on Body For Rear Lid

My 63 VIN 108307 (Feb 6, 63) has holes in the rear deck lid for the metal wedges, but no holes on the body itself for the plastic white wedges.
In fact it does not have the plate and rivets for the reinforcement that is shown in the AIM on A26.0 View C.
I have attached a picture of the AIM page and the plate, rivets and wedges that I do have on my June 6 car. Does anyone have info suggesting that this might not be on early cars. Did some cars have wedges on the lid but not the body?

    Any info appreciated.

    Thanks

    Steve

Steve are there any signs that the top surround has been replaced or rear clip ? I have not seen any convertible 63's without the wedges on both sides.

Who knows with the deck lid but the rear end all seems to have the original bonding strips.
