convertible top dates

are the C 4 convertible tops dated and if so are they judged? also if the top on the C 4 cars is in good shape but the weatherstripping is bad can one just re place the weather stripping or does the whole top need to be re placed? is any of the OEM weather stripping in NOS left for these cars are is it all reproduction now?

Original C4 convertible tops have date codes. Here is a photo of the original date coded window from a 1989 Vette. AND, yes, you can just replace the weatherstripping without replacing the entire top.
