      Doug,

      My '63 Convt. has an almost identical hole drilled through my trim tag as well. No other holes in the z-bar.

      I've also wondered what a person would mount in that location.

      On a positive note, it confirms a real trim tag - no one would spend the bucks for a fake trim tag and then drill it.

          I am a bit curious about thr big round hole that has been repaired below the heater box .. Just to date myself i drilled holes in the z bar to mount a cb radio in the mid seventies... PETER ...

            I assume that the 3" hole in the toe board was tied to the other holes in the Z bar. For now,all the evidence leads me to believe that add on A/C was installed. Will probably find other indications as this resto goes on.
