I am looking to obtain more examples of 1964 Corvettes with Tonawanda Blocks, which have a casting number of 3858180, instead of 3782870.
My car is a 1964 Coupe with a 365 HP engine and Factory A/C build in May 1964. Unfortunately, when the engine was rebuilt by the previous owner, the rebuilder left swirl marks on the engine pad, so it is not considered original by NCRS Judging Guidelines.
If you have a 1964 Corvette with a Tonawanda Block, would you mind posting picture of the Engine Pad and the block casting numbers. Then we can share it with the NCRS membership and get these blocks to be considered mainstream, the same way they are treated on the 1965 Judging Guide
I started a recent post on this forum which has some great additional information, if you are interested:
Thank you for your help.
