Safety fuse for C2 starting system?

Hi a while back If I remember right there was a article on the dangers of a electrical fire in the C2 wire harness starting system and someone had a solution with a inline fuse ,I was wondering if anyone remembers this, I would like to add this to my wiring for safety of course and could use some help with a diagrahm of where to add the fuse and any other advise on this, thanks JR

Jim, I believe that the ignition (pink +) wire coming through the fire wall and going to the coil. if this wire grounds out to shielding it will burn out the harness. Also the cigar lighter is not fused this to can be a hazard.

Thanks Ed if I remember in the article they put the fuse somewhere near the starter.

The fuse (or fusible link) should go where the main power feed wire connects to the battery cable stud on the starter solenoid; that's where Chevy put it starting in '67, which was also the first year the lighter circuit was fused.
