    1970- 1972 Washer Bottle Extensions

I wanted to let anyone interested know that the 70-72 washer bottle extensions are now available! Please contact Keen Parts http://keenparts.com/ for pricing and shipping details. The extensions aren't listed in their catalogues or their on line site yet but they are in hand!

Process took just under a year!

    Happy Holiday's

    Kevin,

How about 1971-1972? 1970 didn't have this feature. Tom Keen usually makes an excellent reproduction part, so for those in need ... go for it.

It has been a long time since those were available. I don't think we had a source for them when we were in the parts business, closed in 2000. I often wonder if someone will step up and make as many parts for the C-3's as they have for the mid-years.

        Trying to widen the market.........lol

Yes, Mr. Keen and I did go through several prototypes before "settling" on the final product.

Dick, It's an incredibly small market for this item as well as many others. The cost of the mold alone would create an financially unfeasible situation. Tom was able to combine two different style extensions on the same mold, cutting cost in half! Then after producing several thousand someone has to sit a wait out the buyers.........selling onezies and twozies at a time!

Best thing about this part is that they constantly melt due to the excessive heat from the exhaust manifolds. Same buyer might be back for a second or third?

Or maybe he/she could buy a dozen or so and have them on hand. That way that might take on the aged white color.

              Merry Christmas, Kevin.

That would be very nice! I would expect these to yellow just like the originals. The materials used to reproduce these extensions was the same or very close to the same as originally used. Along with the same blow molding method.

Happy Holiday's to you and your family as well!
