    1967 copo trim tag

Reviewing Mecum Florida LOT S158.1 car description listed as leather interior. Trim tag lists 420KP that should mean saddle vinyl with A82,A85 and C07. I am trying to sharpen my skills on the trim tag info and was wondering your thoughts on how to decypher the information representing the alpha numeric for the paint. I realize it is to represent non RPO Mosport green paint but does 81001HA SPECIAL represent anything else? Also, do you think the reference to the car having leather interior is a mis-print as advertised? I am sure some of you out there are familiar with this car and your thoughts1967 COPO.jpg. Hope you all are able to enjoy this special time of year.

That is a neat car. I had a '66 in that color with the dark green leather interior. I found out at Top Flight judging that leather didn't come in that color, only red or black as I remember. Mine should have had green vinyl. I am wondering about this one too, I suspect the leather is not the original interior material, but I can't say for sure about that. The COPO cars are hard to be sure what was on them, unless there is a tank sticker available.

      Hugh -

The "81001HA" was an accounting/pricing code for special paint, and would have appeared on the tank sticker, window sticker, and Car Shipper.

Only a couple personally, but I've seen photos of a few others.

You can also find this car on youtube.com. Search for the owner's name. (Bucks came from "Long John Silver's" chain.)

Interesting that this sold for $165K, and ProTeam bought it and it is up for sale.
