Richard, there are a number of folks on the TDB that can help with "How to Paint". As far as books, etc., at the top of this page select NCRS SHOP. This selection will take you to the NCRS on-line store where you will find books and a DVD to help. Different folks will likely suggest different books.

Several good books/dvd on painting, but first you should determine what YOU want as a finished product. If you intend to have the car judged AND want maximum points, then the standard is discussed in this recent powerpoint (link below).

If you follow most of the books/dvd on painting, the result usually is loss of judging points for over restoration.
