Upgrade From TH 400

Looking to replace my TH400 with a more modern auto trans

So many out there, I'm lost. Any help would apappreciated

700 R4 seems to have been the choice for the Corvette platform, and fits with factory pieces. I think if you search the archives there has been much discussion on this.

Later version post 86 700 R4 seems to be the choice of many. All that have done it say it is the best upgrade they have ever done for drivability.

You seem to have a desire to throw expensive replacements at fixing simple problems.

I'm the guy with the trans with the "Hard Garage Shifts" Thought it might be best to just swap out the old one instead of going mad trying to identify the problem. Would like a good, low first gear and an OD

THAT would make me happy as a clam!
