    Convertible top frame repair

Does anyone know of a reliable shop in the South East that can repair a C2 convertible top frame? I think the Al Knoch guys are the best at putting the canvas on and last year they discovered my frame was out of rig when they attempted to put a new top on my '63. We couldn't see any visible damage to the frame other than the short section that attaches the rear bow. I have restored the correct angles back to that piece and replaced the rivet but a local shop is now having similar problems with fitting the new top. The car was in a frontal collision nearly 30 years ago and although not visibly damaged, the top has not been installed since. I suspect something is out of alignment and the two adjustment points on each side will not fix the problem. I'm in FL and would like to trailer the car to anyone that can repair and fit the frame and hopefully install my AK top. Thanks for any help, jim

Anthony, thanks for looking at this. I'm in Niceville, near Ft Walton Beach and about midway between Pensacola and Panama City.

        Tony,
I'm finally getting back to my convertible top and am sure I need to take it to someone that repairs frames as it still wont fold correctly. The local shop that tried to install the new canvas couldn't make it fit correctly and fortunately only tacked it in place. I have not removed it yet but would like to trailer the car to someone in the southeast that can repair the frame although the damage isn't apparent. Does anyone in FL or Ga repair these? My wife had knee surgery recently and will be able to travel soon but Ohio is a long ride but is the only source I have found. I really would like this adjusted on the car. Thanks again, Jim
